This was an interesting craft and a bit time intensive even for a toddler with a good attention span and healthy urge to see things through. First, we had to plan out the scene. Next, we had to paint the pasta–a bit messy but surely the highlight for Meebs. Then, we had to wait and wait and wait, and the wait some more for the pasta to dry. After a few hours the paint dried, but Meebs’ desire to glue the pasta onto the paper was not as enthusiastic as it was earlier in the day. But we plodded through. As you can see the end product was great!

My only improvement to the project, in addition to simplifying the scene to reduce time, is to use a heavy, heavy card stock or Bristol board for gluing. The weight of the pasta on the construction paper made the finished artwork a bit flimsy.
