This past Thanksgiving weekend we took Meebs to Galey Farms to pick our pumpkin for Halloween. It was one of those perfect afternoons; the sun was shining bright but the mid-October air had a slight crispness that was refreshing rather than chilly. After a hayride through the farm in a giant wagon, we arrived at the pumpkin patch. And, off we went in search of the perfect gourd. Meebs had so much fun walking between rows of bright pumpkins, pointing at this one and “that” one (that is one of her new favourite words). She only got tangled in the roots and vines a few times; but never fear, MeebsMom to the rescue! And MeebsDad had a blast snapping dozens of pictures. This was family fun at its finest.

After visiting the pumpkin patch we hopped the train to tour the rest of the farm and corn maze. If you ever have the chance, the Galey Farms Halloween display and corn maze is a must-see; it’s even spookier after dark!

Our last stop was the petting zoo. Amelia absolutely adored the goats, and the goats didn’t seem to mind her extraverted affections! It was an afternoon to remember, and we had as much fun as Amelia did.

We definitely have a new Thanksgiving tradition!
